Who am I’ is Ineza’s second EP, a follow up to ‘Where are you from’. All compositions and
lyrics are written by Ineza. Featured on the EP are pianist Deschanel Gordon, winner of the 2020 BBC Young Musicians award and drummer Rod Oughton front man of ‘Tomorrows New Quartet’ and ‘OK Aurora’.

The EP is a blend of Jazz and Neo Soul music inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder, Lauryn
Hill, Esperanza Spalding and Nancy Wilson. Ineza’s songs look at themes of identity and self-acceptance. Born in Rwanda, adopted into a Belgian family, now living in the UK, Ineza has something to say and in her music she invites you to explore the various emotional layers of this unique story.

The title track tells the tale of her very first trip to Rwanda to meet her biological mother. In
‘Duality’ she has a duet with accomplished sax player Michael Lack celebrating her dual
heritage and in ‘I Need to Know’ she asks difficult questions about her adoption.

‘Who am I’, just like its predecessor continues to ask important questions. Her band consists
out of London’s finest young musicians and together they reflect, celebrate and embrace the past and the future.
